Cynthia Patag Questions Police After Bulacan Massacre Suspect Was Tested Negative on Drugs, "How Much?"

Former actress-comedienne Cynthia Patag now appears to be supporting Bulacan massacre suspect Carmelino "Miling" Navarro Ibañes. This is after the Philippine National Police (PNP) Region 3 director C/Supt. Aaron Aquino said that the latter tested negative on his drug test, despite admitting publicly that he was on high on drugs during the crime.

"Si Ibañes ay napa-drug test na natin kahapon. At nag-negative yung result ni Ibañes sa drug tests, within 24 hours nag-negative siya," Aquino said in an interview via GMA's QRT, Friday, adding that the chemist who conducted the drug test explained to him the possibility of why the drug test resulted negative 24 hours after the suspect took the drugs.

"Ang sabi niya, most likely mas mabilis ang metabolism ni Ibañes or yung quality ng in-intake niya ay masyadong maliit or yung quality naman ng shabu ay hindi ganon ka-concentrate nung ginamit niya or nagpapawis siya o madalas siyang umiihi kaya talagang medyo nag-negative siya sa drug test," He added, noting that the result will not affect the case.

"Yung chemist naman namin ay may kanya-kanyang explanation kung bakit nagne-negative. It doesn't mean pag nagne-negative ka ay hindi ka drug user kasi pinagtapat ni Ibañes na noon ay regular user siya na halos araw-araw," Aquino said further, adding that the suspect is only an occassional user of shabu, which is also likely why he tested negative.

However, Cynthia Patag seems to be not convinced. In her Facebook post this Saturday, the anti-Duterte singer said she doubts if Ibañes was telling the truth when he confessed being the one who killed 5 people, including three children aged 1, 5, and 11. In his confession, he said he and two others took shabu worth P150 before they committed the crime.

“How much money did he (Ibañes) and his conspirators receive, what deal was made to carry out that gruesome crime? Was it meant to be used for Tokhang/death penalty propaganda?” Patag wrote, but later removed the first sentence. Meanwhile, the second suspect alias 'Tony' was also arrrested while the other one alias 'Inggo' remains at large.
