Watch: Sarah Geronimo Slips on ASAP Stage But Gets Up Like a Queen, Sen Hontiveros Comments (Video)

Sarah Geronimo slipped on stage this Sunday, July 23, during her live performance ABS-CBN's show 'ASAP.' Nevertheless, the country’s so-called Pop Star Royalty just smiled up and got up like a queen, and gracefully continued her number as if nothing happened. Shortly, several netizens tweeted their admiration for Sarah G. Watch video below.

Sarah G, who celebrated her 29th birthday on ASAP, sang and danced to the tune of Little Mix’s “Power.” But in the middle of her performance, the “Finally Found Someone” lead actress got out of balance fell on the floor. But instead of stopping, she smiled at the audience and bend her body. Shortly, her backup dancers immediately helped her to get up.

Despite Sarah G's fall, she confidently showed everyone that she owned the stage that time. And because of this, many netizens could not help but to express their delight at professionalism. "That imperfection made the performance beyond perfect! No one can do what she's done, no 1 can even compete nor be on her level." A Sarah G fan tweeted.

"Lesson of the day: You stumble and fall but make sure to laugh it out and stand up like a queen." An amazed fan tweeted. "Sarah G. Day reassures us that figuratively or literally kung mafall man sya eh kaya niya. She's a queen, a powerful one." Another one said. But there were other similar praises for her, Sen. Hontiveros had a deeper point of view.

"Sarah Geronimo's fall reminds us how tough Filipino women are. She has proven herself to everyone that she is not only as a great performer, but a role model to the youth. It is but a shame that someone so powerful tends to treat women as if they are weak." A statement reads on Sen.Hontiveros's Facebook page, a few hours after the ASAP show.

Hontiveros, a known Liberal Party (LP) ally senator, did not mention the name of President Rodrigo Duterte in her post. However, many netizens believe the last part of her statement refers to the president rape jokes. Last Saturday, she is among the four senators who voted against the extension of Martial Law in Mindanao. Nevertheless, the Yes votes won, 261-18.
