Duterte Signs Gift Check Act of 2017, Prohibiting Expiry Date on Gift Checks

Good news to all consumers! President Rodrigo Duterte signed Republic Act No. 10962, also known as the Gift Check Act of 2017 (An Act Regulating the Issuance, Use and Redemption of Gift Checks), which prohibits issuers and merchants from placing expiry dates on their gift checks, gift certificates and gift cards.

Watch: Doris Bigornia Not Wearing Seat Belt During EDSA Shaw Blvd Road Accident (Video)

ABS-CBN news reporter Doris Bigornia and five others were hurt in a six-vehicle pileup accident at the Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA)-Shaw Boulevard tunnel in Mandaluyong City, on Thursday at around 1:45 p.m., December 21.
