VP Robredo, Daughter Tricia Spotted in Hong Kong, Piso Para sa Laban ni Leni Donors Start to Doubt

No less than Vice President Leni Robredo and her daughter Tricia were spotted in Hong Kong this Friday night, July 14. In the said photo posted at Saas Roganto Sasot Facebook page, the mother and daughter were eating in an unnamed restaurant. With that, some donors of the Piso Para sa Laban ni Leni are starting to doubt if they should still continue.



On the comments on the said photo, some netizens said that there is nothing wrong with VP Robredo and daughter Tricia bonding together in Hong Kong. Other netizens agree, but said that it seems to be inappropriate since the vice president said that she has no enough money for her counter protest fee against former Senator Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos, Jr., amounting to P7.4 million. Therefore, she should not be saving her money.

It should be noted that last Tuesday, VP Robredo’s lawyer Atty. Romulo Macalintal announced that the Supreme Court, which sits as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) extended the deadline for the payment. The vice president has already paid an initial P8 million out of the P15 million fee last May 2, while the balance was supposed to be July 14.

Meanwhile, a Facebook Messenger conversation between two donors of the Piso Para sa Laban ni Leni was sent to us by one of our followers. Based on the exchange of messages, one of them was told by her mother stop being a volunteer to collect the donations. This is after her mother saw the viral photo of VP Robredo and Tricia, eating in Hong Kong.



On the other hand, the other donor said she is also thinking of backing out after learning that Aika Robredo, VP Leni's youngest daughter is now spending a vacation in Spain. She also mentioned that Jillian, the eldest Robredo daughter is now studying in Harvard. In short, she feels that helping the vice president in raising funds is not worthy.
