Watch: Displaced Marawi Childen Cry While Waving Goodbye to Soldiers Who Took Good Care of Them (Video)

The Marawi crisis is now over after President Rodrigo Duterte declared the liberation of the city from the Maute group. And because of that, government troops are now being pulled and will return to their families. But then, children of Marawi who have been displaced because of the war cry as they watch them leave. Watch the tear-jerker video below.



Posted at Apo Datuputi Facebook page last Monday, October 23, you can feel the emotion of the Marawi kids as they burst into tears while the Special Action Force (SAF) soldiers who protected and took care of them are inside their respective buses, and are about to leave. As you can see, the children love the soldiers so much and will surely miss them.

According to Apo Datuputi, he has been receiving invitations from media regarding the viral video. He did not mention the exact location of the evacuation center of the displaced Marawi children, but is it also in Lanao del Sur. With this, the netizen requested everyone to send a message to 09487979866 for those who want to send donations for these kids.

Meanwhile, the European Union (EU) plans to grant the Philippines of as much as 100 million euros for the Marawi rehabilitation. This is despite the fact that President Duterte has declared that the country will not receive any aid from EU it criticized his policy against illegal drugs. Nevertheless, EU Ambassador Franz Jessen said the group will still offer help.



“Right now, we are discussing internally in the EU, we’re talking about 55 million euros. Later on we intend to expand around 100 million euros for Mindanao and Marawi,” Jessen said on the sidelines of the 4th Energy Smart Philippines summit on Thursday, October 26, noting that he had a recent meeting with Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano.



Secretary Cayetano confirmed the meeting with Ambassador Jessen. However, he stressed out that everyone is free to help as long as there are no conditiconalities and it will not affect the country’s sovereignty. Aside from EU, Australia, the United States, Singapore, Russia, and China are among the country that offered help to rebuild Marawi.
