Watch: Patricia Bautista Reveals Comelec Chair Bautista's 'Commission Sheets' From Smartmatic (Video)

Patricia Paz “Tish” Bautista, the estranged wife of Comelec (Commission on Elections) Chairman Andres Bautista, revealed a document allegedly linking Smartmatic to his husband. In an exclusive interview with Karen Davila via ANC's Headstart this Tuesday, August 8, she emphasized that she only wanted half of the “clean money” of her husband. Watch videos below.

“Let me make it clear. By law I’m entitled to half of what Andy owns, but I only want half of what’s clean. This is why we’re bringing it to the government to tell me which part is clean. I would not do all these and get into the muck myself.” Patricia Bautista said, who came out last Sunday, accusing her husband of ill-gotten wealth amounting to nearly P1 billion.

"If I’m after the money this is the most inefficient way to do it. Whatever I want I would get it through the court...I want to make sure my kids...they have to know also the difference what’s right and wrong and corruption is wrong," Andy Bautista's wife added, who has 4 children with the Comelec chair. Later, she showed some documents as evidences for her claim.

Among those that Tisha Bautista has revealed include cash envelopes, passbook for two branches of Luzon Development Bank amounting to a total of P300 million, and bearing the handwriting of her husband; and Andy Bautista's alleged "commission sheet" dated January 2016 that bears the names of lawyers from Divina Law and Smartmatic.

Mrs. Bautista also showed a letter of Divina Law that mentioned some proposed amendments to the Omnibus Election Code of the Philippines, adding that it was sent to her husband, Her lawyer, Atty. Martin Loon said these documents are highly questionable, simply because they were prepared when Andy Bautista was already the Comelec chairperson.

Incidentally, Divina Law is the lawyer of Smartmatic, the company that provided the vote counting machines during the May 2016 elections. In addition, Nilo T. Divina, Divina Law's Managing Partner, is the lawyer of losing LP's presidentiable Mar Roxas. If the documents presented by Patricia Bautista will be confirmed as authentic, Andy is in a very deep trouble.
