"Inaasahan natin na masusing imbestigasyon iyong gagawin. Hindi basta-basta iyong insidente na nangyari." VP Leni Robredo told reporters in an ambush interview at the sidelines of her “Metro Laylayan” visit in Navotas City that day, noting that a deeper investigation will reveal the truth, and will answer all the questions and doubts of the public.
However, the vice president insisted the rule of law should always be followed.

The 52-year old vice president said further.
On the other hand, VP Robredo said that what happened to Mayor Parojinog should serve as a warning to other government official involved in illegal drugs, and urged them to surrender. Pagpapakita ng kooperasyon sa ating pamahalaan,” she said.
On the same raid, Mayor Parojinog's children Ozamiz City Vice Mayor Nova Parojinog and Reynaldo Parojinog Jr, were arrested. Both of them were charged for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, after the raiding team reportedly found illegal drugs were found in their respective houses, along with several heavy firearms and grenade.
