Watch: Ozamiz Raid Self-Claimed Witness-Survivor GMA News Interview vs PNP-Crime Lab Statement (Video)

A man identified as Cesar claimed that he is a survivor of the police raid conducted at the compound of Parojinog family last week came out this Thursday. In an exclusive interview by GMA News reporter Mariz Umali, he contradicted the findings of SOCO (Scene of the Crime Operatives). Watch the video interview, and listen to statements of both sides.

According to Cesar, whose face was not revealed, he saw the policemen throwing two grenades at them, noting that the second one was thrown around 15-30 seconds later. The self-claimed survivor-witness said insisted that the incident is not a raid, but rather intended to kill them, especially Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sr. and his wife, Susan.

'Yun nilapitan si Ma'am Susan at binaril," The self-claimed survivor-witness said.

"Isunod sana si Mayor Aldong eh tapos sabi ni Board Member, 'Sir, wag Sir... Maawa kayo.' Tapos 'yun binaril si Board Member. Bumagsak 'yung ulo niya sa hita ni Mayor Aldong tapos binaril din si Mayor Aldong," Cesar added, noting that he saw a policeman putting a gun at Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sr. to make it appear that he fought back.

But according to police reports, the raiding team was were met by a volley of gunfire as they were about to enter the Parojinogs' compound. SOCO said they found the grenade pin inserted in the finger of Vicente Torregoza, the mayor's bodyguard. It was believed that he accidentally dropped the grenade in front of him, causing his two legs to be mutilated.

Meanwhile, Senior Superintendent Leocy Mag-Abo, chief of the PNP Crime Laboratory Region 10, said that Mayor Parojinog was not shot at close range. He emphasized that board member, Octavio Parojinog, Jr. and Mona Parojinog died of grenade blast, but did not have any gunshot wounds. This is all contrary to what Cesar claimed in his GMA News interview.
