Watch: 2015 Interview of Herbert Colangco's Dying Cousin Exposing Illegal Drugs in Ozamiz City (Video)

Frederick "Cocoy" May y Colanggo, a cousin and right-hand man of Herbert "Ampang" Colanggo, made a brave revelation about the illegal drugs trade in Ozamiz City, Misamis Occidental and its neighboring provinces. He was interviewed by DXOC broadcaster Cosme Maestrado on April 10, 2015. Watch the video (with English subtitles) below.

On the first part of the interview, it was revealed that Cocoy Colangco was dying because of lung cancer. Nevertheless, he called Maestrado (aka "Mr. Ratsada") because he wants the public to know the truth. He admitted that he used to sell illegal drugs in Ozamiz City. But now, he is asking for forgiveness, adding that he does not anyone to do what he did.

Cocoy Colangco, who died just weeks after the interview, confessed that he is a trusted man in their place when it comes to illegal drugs, which he said were being transported from Manila, particularly from Muntinlupa. He mentioned that his direct contact is his cousin Herbert, who is a known drug lord, and that his contact is a certain Joel Colangco.

Nevertheless, Cocoy said he does not know the exact place in Ozamiz where the illegal drugs are being brought to. He mentioned a certain Waway and Unyol are the ones holding the proceeds. The self-confessed drug pusher emphasized that Ozamiz City Vice Mayor Nova Princess Parojinog-Echavez is handling the illegal drug activities in the city.

Cocoy Colangco also noted that Nova Parojinog is the one who has contact with Herbert Colanggo, adding that the illegal drugs transactions between the two is still active at present (during the interview). He also mentioned a certain Artem Salas and Toto Bunjing, aides of Ozamiz City Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sr. as also involved in illegal drugs trade.

On Aug. 27, 2015, or four months after the interview, Cosme Maestrado was shot to death by unknown assailants outside a shopping center in Ozamiz City. He used to be a loyalist of the Parojinog family, but later turned his back because he reportedly cannot take anymore the family's involvement in illegal drugs. As of posting, the suspects are not yet known.
