Relative of Slain 9-Months Pregnant Woman Begs to VP Robredo, Sen Hontiveros to Visit Them Too

A relative of Jizelle Duay, the nine-month pregnant woman who was shot to death by a 16-year old drug suspect, is now requesting Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Risa Hontiveros to also visit them. This is after she learned that the two opposition politicians viisted the wake of the 17-year-old Grade 11 student, Kian Loyd delos Santos, in Caloocan City.

This Sunday, August 20, a screenshot of a Facebook post by a certain Cheska is now being shared on Facebook. According to her post, she is requesting VP Leni Robredo and Sen. Risa Hontiveros to visit the wake of her cousin Jiselle, or the live-partner Mark James Mendevilla, who is still in a hospital due to several wounds in his head and body.

"Aminado po kami na naligaw sila ng landas at nasangkot sa droga, pero biktima din po kami ng karahasan, at malapit na po sanang manganak ang pinsan ko. Gaya po ng napabalita, isa pong menor de edad ang suspect." Cheska wrote, referring to the admission of Mendevilla that they owe P400 for the illegal drugs they bought from him.

The netizen then noted that unlike what happened to Kian where the suspects are policemen, the suspect who shot and killed her cousin is a minor. She said that their family symphatize with what happened to the 17-year old student, but they too need justice. On the last part, she is asking Robredo and Hontiveros to also be compassionate to them.

According to GMA News, Jizelle Duay was shot dead in an unnamed street in Barangay Payatas, Quezon City, last Wednesday, the same day when Kian was killed during an Oplan Galugad operation. Initial investigations said that the 16-year old suspect has two other companions, and that the suspect's mother is a drug pusher, and is now in jail.

Duay's mother visited the suspect's mother in jail, and asked her to tell the police the whereabouts of her son. The latter admitted that her son is a drug user, but denied that he is a drug pusher. As of posting, the teenage suspect remains at large. He is now facing murder, frustrated murder at unintentional abortion, after the baby inside the victim's womb also died.
