An unnamed netizen wrote on Facebook on Thursday, March 15, referring to Renato Reyes who tried to hide his face.
(We were patient waiting in line, then he suddenly cut in as if he’s somebody. Then, he reasoned that his groceries are only few where in fact, it’s plenty. He claimed he’s busy and that he has meeting to attend and a lot of people are waiting for him.)
The dismayed netizen, who is believed to have taken the photo of Reyes as he rushed to avoid the camera, added that the militant leader was alone. However, he (or she) noted that the activist bought American canned goods, bread, and bathroom tissues. He tried to ask the cashier if she knows who he was, and the cashier said, “Yes.”
The netizen added.
(The cashier told me that he [Reyes] smiled at him as he requested to cut into the line. But when she refused, but she had no choice but to allow him after he looked at her badly. He gave P2,000 to the cashier but his groceries are only worth P1,012, at that he had no enough coins for the P12.)
