Duterte to Appoint Bb Pilipinas 2018 Candidate Sandra Lemonon as "Build Build Build" Spokesperson

President Rodrigo Duterte is set to appoint Bb Pilipinas 2018 candidate Sandra Lemonon as the spokesperson of the government’s "Build Build Build" program. This is after she went viral during the Binibining Pilipinas 2018 coronation night last March 18 when she replied an honest answer during the Q&A portion of the said beauty pageant.

"What are your insights on the government's 'Build Build Build' program?" Megawide Construction Corp. chairman Edgar Saavedra, who was one of the judges that night, asked Bb Pilipinas 2018 candidate No, 5 Sandra Lemonon. This was after her name was called as one of the Bb Pilipinas 2018 Top 15 candidates.

"The insights of the government's 'Build, Build, Build' program. Actually, you know what, I studied so much for this Q&A but, sadly, that's something I don't know really much about. But, at least, I'm here trying to answer a good question. Thank you." Lemonon replied with all smiles and honesty. She was considered a strong contender to win the crown.

In an interview after the pageant, Lemonon said she expected questions related to divorce, human rights, violence, Marawi City and Dengvaxia. The 23-year old beauty from Pasig City also admitted that she did not understand the question. Nevertheless, she emphasized that she is not losing hope to win, and will join Bb Pilipinas in 2019.

But despite losing the Bb Pilipinas pageant, netizens showed their admiration for her honest answer. This also led to Department of Transportation (DOTr) to thank her last Tuesday for inspiring them to re-launch a campaign for the P9-trillion infrastructure program, as part of the 'Build Build Build' program under the Duterte administration.

This Friday, Sandra Lemonon met with Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) "Build Build Build" Committee Chairperson Anna Mae Yu Lamentillo, and received a special lesson from her about project. Shortly after, it was learned that President Duterte wants to appoint her as its spokesperson to help the public be informed.
