Dubbed as "Pray for CJ", the mass was organized by the group Every Woman, Prayer Battalion for Truth and Justice, and Youth Resist, and was offered to CJ Sereno, who is now facing an impeachment complaint filed against her by lawyer Lorenzo Gadon. The embattled SC chief justice was spotting kneeling down and praying during the said mass.
Among the former Cabinet members of the Noynoy Aquino Administration who also attended the mass are former Department of Social Welfare and Development Sec. Dinky Soliman, former Peace Process Adviser Sec. Ging Deles, and former Tourism Sec. Ramon Jimenez. After the mass, she made a short speech and thanked her supporters.
“Hinihiling ko po kayong magmasid sa aming mga korte, marami na pong nagyayari, electronic courts, automated hearings, Hindi po maari na ang truth, justice righteousness na standards sa ating Konstitusyon ay hindi sinusundan ngayon.” CJ Sereno said, adding that she will continue to fight not just for herself, but for the people and the Constitution.
Meanwhile, Pastor Edmundo Pamintuan of Victorious Born Again Christian Church (VBACC) in Manila seems to be not happy with CJ Sereno for attending the mass. According to him, the SC chief justice has been attending their services for several years, and as never missed a Sunday service. In fact, the pastor said he treats her as a friend.
“Nakakalungkot lang na kami na mas nakakalilala sa kanya ay tila binawela nya. Hindi ba dapat sa amin siya unang lumapit para ipagdasal namin siya? O dahil ba mas marami ang mga Katolikong supporters nya? Medyo hindi ata tama yun.” Pastor Pamintuan told reporters, saying that he is planning to remove CJ Sereno from their church.

when i was in the hospital for 11 months, the catholic priest, the presbyterian minister, the baptist, the methodist and the lutheran ministers stopped by my room and prayed over me and spent several minutes talking about God and His Healing power. why should the pastor have qualms about who attends his service and prays with them?
ReplyDeleteBecause it's not right to pray to the work of man's hand. It is an abomination unto the Living God. She is provoking the True and Living God to Jealousy just like the Catholic Church do since the very beginning of their existence on earth. John 4:23-24 say's God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth not using idols or images.
Delete“Planning to remove CJ from their church” Hmm sounds like real GRACE. I wonder what Jesus’ thoughts about this. Poor Sereno, one wrong move and you are done. How does it feel to be judged by own bros & sisters in faith?
