Mariel de Leon Has Shocking Advice to Ms Universe Philippines 2017 Rachel Peters

Without a doubt, Philippines’ bet Rachel Peters did well during the Miss Universe 2017 preliminary competition, held at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas last Monday, November 20. This was part of the upcoming 66th Miss Universe beauty pageant, to be held at The Axis at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 26.

During the pre-pageant, Rachel Peters was stunning in her glinting gold evening gown by designer Val Taguba, who also designed her golden Sarimanok national costume. But before that, the 26-year old Filipino-British beauty (her mother is from Bicol) showed off her sexy figure during the swimsuit round, wearing a black Yamaymay two-piece bikini.

So far, Peters is also enjoying a lot of support from Filipino netizens around the world, by voting her via email and social media accounts such as Facebook and Twitter. Voting started also last Monday, with results to be counted on November 25, 1 pm ET, and the winner will automatically land a spot on the Top 15, or the Miss Universe semi-final round.

Earlier, Rachel has already revealed the advice she got from Miss Philippine Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and Maxine Medina, who landed on the Top 6 last year. And although she did not ask advice from Mariel de Leon, the country’s bet for the recent Miss International 2017, the latter has some helpful but somehow shocking advice for her.

"First of all, enjoy every moment and avoid being stressed. That’s very important. Second, be friends with fellow candidates. But of course, some of them may also talk behind your back. Third, protect your privacy. I heard a Filipino leaked a photo of your gown, Sad to say, some of us don’t realize the importance of privacy.” De Leon wrote on Facebook this Thursday.

“Fourth, if you make it to the Q&A, be short but deep with your answer. Last but definitely not the least, whatever happens never let bashers affect you. Fight back if you must, and don’t let them feel that they get to you. These minions are not your friends, and are only envious of you.” She added, who was earlier bashed for criticizing President Rodrigo Duterte.
