Ang sinasabi ng ating mga batas, na kapag mayroong nagkasala, mayroong proseso para alamin kung totoo ba iyong paratang, at mayroon namang nararapat na penalidad sa mga paratang,” VP Robredo said, noting everyone who commit crime should undergo due process, and be punished according to what the Constitution says.
She added, pointing out that putting the law into our hands will result to a useless democracy, and this will be the start of our “fighting.”

VP Robredo said further, and emphasized that the country has institutions to make sure that we will be safe and decent. She then asked what will happen if people will be killed without due process.
Apparently, VP Robredo was referring to the President Duterte’s statements last Wednesday during his speech at the ceremonial send-off of Vietnamese fishermen at the Sual Wharf and Causeway in Pangasinan. Here, he told soldier to kill NPA rebels if said they are armed, and he, as their Commander-in-chief shall answer for them.
“So what will be my order to them? Di shoot them. They will kill you anyway. If there is an armed NPA there or terrorist that’s holding firearms, shoot and tell…ako na lang magsagot. You just shut up. Do not answer that issue of human rights. You go to Duterte, it is, it was his order para tumahimik. Nako. You are destroying my country,” he said.

ReplyDeletei agree. there is a due process for the opposition to become a candidate and win an election. then he can file bills that protect the filipino in general. those who choose to go to the hills and attack the people or the armed forces must be treated as enemy and either captured or killed. as a soldier - it is either my life or his life if he is holding a firearm or something that can kill.
