“Vice President Leni Robredo was overwhelmed with the warm support she received during her speech at LSE, as she delivered her message about poverty and role of politics in economic growth. However, she decided not to face the protesters outside and left the school using the door.” The OVP said in a statement on Saturday.

“Nonetheless, the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in London she talked to were excited to see her. In fact, some of them shared their humble beginning and inspiring stories, which will be later featured in the vice president’s weekly radio program,” “Biserbisyong Leni.” The Office of the Vice President said further.

“No to Leni, Resign, fake VP! No to cheating, no to fake VP.” The nearly 100 protesters who are members of DDS-UK (Diehard Duterte Supporters) continuously shouted while displaying her messages against VP Robredo. On the other hand, there were very few supporters of the vice president, but they did not welcome her with placards.

In an interview with ABS-CBN Europe news bureau after the event, VP Robredo said chose not to face the protesters, saying that talking to them is just a waste of time. “We will progress through collaboration not through division. There is no sense in arguing with others. Let us channel all of our energies into all things positive.” She said.

Robredo, who will also visit Germany is now facing the electoral protest against former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. added that she is confident she will eventually prove that she did not cheat. This is despite the fact that there were wet ballots with votes for Bongbong, and unused and excess ballots that have votes for her.
