Google PH to Add Age Limit on Mocha Uson’s Provocative Photos

Google Philippines is set to put age limit on local searchers on the provocative photos of Communications Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson. This is after those photos landed as the “Most Googled Photo” in the Philippines in 2017, based on the number of searches gathered by the algorithm of the giant search engine company last December.

“To show respect to Mocha Uson who is now a cabinet member of the Duterte administration, we at Google Philippines decided to control the viewing of some of her old photos. We also believe that they should not be seen by minors.” Mateo San Luis, Community Manager of Google Philippines said in a statement.

“As a company that serves the public, we have the responsibility to protect not only our young audience, but public servants as well. We would also like to emphasize that the decision is voluntary and unanimous. It is not political, and no influential individual or group instructed or pressured us to do so.” He added.

San Luis noted that the Mocha’s sexy photos can only be seen by 18 years old and above. And although he did not mention the date of implementation, sources said that it might take two to three weeks for Google PH to check all the search keywords related to her old photos, and improving its control on viewership.

Uson, 35, is a staunch Duterte supporter since the 2016 elections. As of posting, her Mocha Uson Blog Facebook page has more than 5.4 million followers. Prior to her Communication appopost that started last May, she was appointed as a board member as Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) in January 2017.

Meanwhile, the second most searched photo in Google PH is the Miss Universe 2017, followed by Xander Ford and Jake Zyrus at third and fourth place, respectively. Other personalities who landed at Most Googled Photo 2017 list include Maxine Medina, Mariel de Leon, “Wonder Woman” star Gal Gadot, and Korean actor Park Bo Gum.
