“Hindi ko alam kung nasa eksena ako ng Titanic kanina. Sa pelikula ko lang napapanood ‘to eh. Pero ang masasabi ko lang, kahit madapa ka, kailangan mo pa ring bumangon at i-roll ang camera” Rex Remitio wrote as the caption for his video, adding that the Black Nazarene devotees suddenly went ballistic for food and water.

(I don’t know if I was in a scene at Titanic earlier. I only see something like this in the movies. But one thing I can say, even if you stumble and fall, just get up and continue rollin the camera.)

According to Remitio, some of the Black Nazarene devotees almost fell into the buffet tables during the commotion, and the owners was forced to push them out of the gate. Apparently, the family hold a private gathering every year during the Black Nazarene procession and open their gates, and this first time that the devotees forced to enter.

Meanwhile, the CHR is not satisfied with how the house residents and some visitors treated the Black Nazarene devotees. According to CHR Chairman Chito Gascon, he already saw the video and said that he saw nothing wrong. In addition, he said that several Black Nazarene devotees sent him messages and explained their side.

“Inamin naman nila sa sakin na mali ang ginawa nilang paglusob sa nasabing private event. Pero kaya lang naman daw nila ginawa yun ay dahil sa sobrang gutom at uhaw. So, natural lang na medyo magulo. Kusa naman daw silang aalis, kaso pinagtulakan daw sila palabas na parang may sakit na nakakahawa, kaya may mga nasaktan.” Chairman Gascon said.

Gascon added that he will send a representative to talk to the house owner, and will investigate the matter. Nevertheless, he said that pushing people is not necessary, and that there is a better way of telling people to leave. He said he also plans to speak with coordinators of the Black Nazarene procession, to advise them on proper planning.
