Sharon Cuneta to Sing at Ferdinand Marcos Centennial Birthday Party Despite Sen Kiko’s Disapproval?

Megastar Sharon Cuneta is set to sing at 100th birthday celebration of the late president Ferdinand Marcos at his burial site at the Libingan ng mga Bayani (LNMB) on Monday, September 11, 2017. This is despite the fact that her husband, Liberal Party (LP) President, Senator Francis ‘Kiko’ Pangilinan did not approve the idea.

According to a very reliable source from the Marcos family, former First Lady and Ilocos Norte Rep. Imelda Marcos personally invited Sharon Cuneta to sing in the said event. Apparently, it took some time before the Megastar said “Yes,” simply because Sen Kiko is a staunch critic of the Marcoses. In fact, her husband was very firm in not allowing her to come.

Interestingly, the late President Marcos served as the primary sponsor (Ninong) of Sharon Cuneta-Gabby Concepcion wedding on September 23, 1984, held at the Manila Cathedral. Unfortunately, the couple parted ways in August 1987. Their marriage was finally annulled in 1993. Sharon met Kiko in 1994, and they got married on April 28, 1996.

It is also known that Pablo Cuneta (Sharon’s father) served as Pasay City mayor for 41 years, and is the longest serving mayor in the country. All in all, Mayor Cuneta has served under 7 presidents, including Elpidio Quirino, Ramon Magsaysay, Carlos P. Garcia, Diosdado Macapagal, Ferdinand Marcos, Corazon Aquino and Fidel Ramos.

On the other hand, Sen. Kiko Pangilinan has been very vocal in opposing the hero’s burial of the late President Marcos at LNMB, as approved by the Supreme Court. According to him, Marcos is not a hero, but rather a thief and a murderer. He also urged the Marcos family to apologize to the Filipino people, and to return their alleged ill-gotten wealth.

Ferdinand Marcos was born on September 11, 1917 in Sarrat, Ilocos Norte, and became president from 1965 to 1986. He was overthrown via EDSA People Power Revolution, and was replaced by the late President Corazon ‘Cory’ Aquino. The former ‘strongman’ died in Hawaii in 1989, and his remains were allowed to be brought back in the country in 1991.

  1. WALA NANG NANINIWALA SA INYONG MGA DILAW NAMULAT NA ANG MGA PILIPINO SA MGA PAGLALASON NINYO SA ISIPAN NG MGA TAONG BAYAN!

LASTLY, YUN STUPID PANGILINAN LAW THAT EXEMPTS YOUNG CRIMINALS FROM PUNISHMENT EVEN IF THEY HAVE COMMITED HEINOUS CRIMES. SHAME ON YOU!

FERDINAND MARCOS IS A STRONG LEADER AND A HERO! NOT NINOY WHO HAD DONE NOTHING IN OUR COUNTRY.

  2. How can ninoy aquino be a hero when he had done nothing our country. Ninoy was an Oligarch and his father was a Japanese collaborator or “Makapili” during the World War 2. These are the following example of True Heroes:

    1. Jose Rizal, an illustrator, wrote many revolutionary letters and books before he was shot dead.
    2. Andres Bonifacio bravely led the Pugad Lawin before he was betrayed by his fellow Katipunan.
    3. Aguinaldo and Magsaysay came from humble roots and was loved by the people.
    4. Ferdinand Marcos had done huge accomplishments, strong leadership and a soldier who bravely fought and defended our country during World War II.
    5. Manny Pacquiao had to take a thousand hits to become a World Champion.

This man should not have been made a Hero. He had done nothing for this country but talk. He was only to giving speeches of how things should be in this country. He just talked and talked. Then he was shot and became the instant hero. They made monuments and busts after him.

Why not make Boy Abunda, Kris Aquino, Riza Hontiveros, Antonio Trillanes, or even De Lima a Heroes they are talkative? But should not they be shot first...
