Sen Trillanes Immediately Leaves Hotel After Learning That Mayor Sara Duterte Was Also There

Is Senator Antonio Trillanes IV afraid of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte? This is after the soldier turned politician suddenly left the hotel when he learned that the presidential daughter was also there. The incident happened last Friday when Mayor Inday Sara shared on her Facebook page a Viber conversation between her and a friend.

“For info, ma’m. Nasa hotel din si Trillanes.(Trillanes is also here in the same hotel.)” The friend said. Mayor Inday Sara posted the screenshot with the caption, "That Thing Called Tadhana."

"Perfect timing. Ako na bibira. Pahiram ng martilyo,(I’ll beat him. Lend me a hammer.)" Mayor Sara Duterte replied. But of course, the public knows she was only joking.

But less than an hour later, someone commented that Sen. Trillanes was seen rushing to leave the said hotel, and apparently looking around as if someone is following him. The netizen suggested that the Liberal Party (LP) ally senator might have been informed about Mayor Duterte’s Facebook post, and took it seriously.

As we all know, Sen. Trillanes is a staunch critic of President Duterte and his family. Since the last part of the 2016 election campaign, the senator has been accusing him of having as much as P2.4 billion in his secret bank accounts not declared in his Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN) when he was the mayor of Davao.

Last September 7, Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte and Manases Carpio (Sara Duterte’s husband) appeared in the Senate hearing on the smuggling of P6.4-billion worth of shabu in the country. That day, Sen. Trillanes accused them of having more than P100 million in bank deposits, and that Paolo is a member of a Chinese triad.

Sen. Trillanes said that the tattoo at Paolo Duterte’s back shall prove his claim. The latter admitted that he has a tattoo on his back, but denied that it is a proof of his membership to the international syndicate. He also refused to show it to the public. Meanwhile, the last termer senator is being accused of having several offshore bank accounts.
