Vice Ganda Complains About MRT Breakdowns, "I Have Been Paying High Taxes For That!"

Comedian and TV host Vice Ganda could not help but rant about the frequent breakdowns of Metro Rail Transit (MRT-3). On ABS-CBN’s daily noontime show “It’s Showtime” last Wednesday, February 21, he complained the worsening traffic in Metro Manila, too many vehicles on the road, as well the series of MRT 3 breakdowns.

Vice Ganda told co-host Anne Curtis while they were interviewing a contestant of “Tawag ng Tanghalan.”

(Here, we have Grab, we have Uber, we have buses, cars, motorcycles, all of them, this is why there’s heavy traffic. Then the MRT, there’s always a glitch, isn’t it?)

The so-called Unkabogable Star lamented.

(Stop the MRT. I have been paying taxes for that, but you cannot improve that MRT. There’s problem every time, it is down every now and then. The passengers are getting scared. The lines of passengers are very long.)

Vice Ganda noted.

(This is why that MRT. If I will be the president, I will close the MRT. I will remove the trains and retain the railway, then I will have cemented, I will convert into a park. Anyway, people walk there every time the MRT is down. Let’s just convert into a park.)
