Kris Aquino Slams Millennial Who Threw Cory Aquino's Photo in the Garbage

A photo of the late, former president Corazon “Cory” Aquino was thrown away along with some garbage in the streets, and is now going viral on social media. And although it was not known who originally posted it, Kris Aquino identified her as a millennial and criticized her on her social media accounts on Tuesday, February 22.

Kris Aquino wrote, without adding Cory Aquino’s photo she was referring to.

She added.

After doing some research, we saw Cory Aquino’s picture in the garbage. We were not able to find the netizen who originally posted it. But based on the comments, Kris seems to be right when she said it was posted by a young Filipina. A screenshot of Kris’ post is also being shared on Facebook, but we did see it on her official Facebook account.

Meanwhile, organizers of the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution 32nd Anniversary celebration are now preparing for the said event this coming Sunday, February 25. And although it’s not expected to have thousands of supporters, expected to come are former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III and other Liberal Party (LP) politicians.

Through the years, it has been obvious that people who join the EDSA 1 Revolution is getting fewer. According to some political analysts, it could be that many Filipinos think that they did not benefit from so-called democracy, noting that there is still human right violations during Cory’s term, corruption is still rampant, and many families are still poor.
