Personal Bodyguard Applicant for Jover Laurio Declines Huge Salary Offer From LP

Pinoy Ako Blog (PAB) blogger Jover Laurio was recently transferred to a safe house, after a suspicious man allegedly went to the apartment she was renting. This apparently led the need for a personal bodyguard to protect her. However, one of the applicants said he declined the job despite the huge salary offered to him by the Liberal Party (LP).

According to a report by Inquirer on Saturday, February 3, Laurio said that last Wednesday (January 31) morning, a man came to her apartment and identified himself to her mother as being from an unnamed telecommunications company. Allegedly, the telco man said that he wanted to check the signal of the mobile network in their area.

Laurio, 36, said that her mother did not ask the name of the telco man. Nevertheless, he allegedly asked unrelated questions that led to suspicion, and even took photos of the apartment before he left. The pro LP blogger said she called the telco company, and that she learned that there was no such assignment in their area that time.

Shortly after the incident, Laurio said she reported it to the police. Nevertheless, she said her very close friend at the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) advised her to move to a safer place, which she did. And although she did not reveal it to Inquirer, an LP insider told us that they are now hiring applicants as personal bodyguard for her.

But apparently, one of the applicants refused the job even if LP offered him a salary that no one can resist. The LP insider did not reveal his name, but identified him as in his early 30s, good looking, and married with three children. He allegedly had long years of job experience as bodyguard, and has served several local artists and politicians.

“Wala naman daw sanang problema kasi kahit pa sino, kaya nyang bantayan. Pero nung nalaman nyang si Jover ang pagsisilbihan nya, nagdalawang isip sya. Alam nya daw kasi ang nangyari kay Ronnie Dayan, at nag-aalala sya na baka akitin din sya ng babantayan nya.” The LP insider said, who requested anonymity for his protection.


(There should be no problem for him, because he can guard anyone. But when he learned that Jover will be his client, he had second thoughts. He said he knows what happened to Ronnie Dayan, and he is worried that he might also be seduced.)
