One of Philippine cinema's most well-loved love teams of all time, Sharon and Gabby are reunited in a new McDonald’s commercial titled “Kumusta Ka?” Released on Friday, the ex-couple celebrity has proven that their love team still has chemistry and ‘magic,’ with fans getting nostalgic after watching them together again after 26 long years.

On the clip, Sharon was eating inside a McDonald’s and Gabby saw her, and ask her if he can join her at the table. “Ikaw naman, parang wala tayong pinagsamahan.” Sharon replied. Nonoy Zuniga’s “Kamusta Ka” was played as the background music, as the parents of KC Concepcion steal some moments to glimpse at each other while eating.
Last seen together in the movie “Tayong Dalawa” back in 1992, the Sharon-Gabby love team was born in 1981 via “Dear Heart,” which incidentally is Sharon’s very first feature film. But because it was a big hit, it was followed by “P.S. I Love You” on the same year. The ex-couple was supposed to do a reunion movie in 2017 but it was postponed.
Sharon and Gabby were married on September 23, 1984 but were legally separated in August 1987. Their marriage was officially annulled in 1993. Gabby had other relationships, while Sharon met Kiko Pangilinan and got married April 28, 1996. Pangilinan’s political career rose after he was elected as senator in 2001. He even had plans to run for president.
But how true that Sen. Kiko asked McDonald's to disable comments on the Sharon-Gabby McDo commercial? According to one of our followers who claimed she has contact to the couple’s household, the senator is not jealous over Gabby, However, a lot of his haters (especially diehard Duterte supporters or DDS) posted negative comments against him.
“Aprubado naman daw ni Sen. Kiko yung commercial ni Mega Sharon at Gabby. Kaso, nung binasa nya daw yung mga comments sa YouTube at Facebook, ang daming haters, lalo na at siya ang president ng LP. Ang worry daw ng senador, baka mabasa ng mga anak nila at masaktan ang mga ito.” Our follower, who requested anonymity, said.
