DOH Tarlac Tries to Cover Up Dengue Case of 12 Year Old Girl Who Received Dengue Vaccine?

Is the Department of Health (DOH) in Tarlac trying to cover up the dengue case of a 12-year old girl? Earlier, she received dengue vaccination of the program of the Department of Health (DOH) under the administration of former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, who happens to be from Tarlac. Watch the video of RJ Nieto, aka Thinking Pinoy below.

In his Facebook live video on Tuesday, December 5, Thinking Pinoy (TP) said he went to Jecson Hospital in Tarlac City, and tried to visit Aimy Junnel Tamayo, who is the ICU (Intensive Care Unit). According to the pro-Duterte blogger, some nurses told him that the patient has already been transferred to another hospital at around 12 noon, that day.

The nurses, whose names were not mentioned by RJ Nieto to protect their identities, told him that Aimy was transferred to Jose B. Lingad Memorial Regional Hospital in San Fernando, Pampanga. No one knows why she was transferred. In addition, Aimy’s mother will be given free hotel accommodation while watching over her daughter in the hospital.

However, Nieto said there are also other dengue patients in Jecson Hospital. This includes two classmates of Aimy, and her teacher, whose platelet was lower than that of Aimy. She is confined at the fifth floor, while Aimy is at the third floor. But why was Aimy somehow given “special treatment?” How about the others whose cases are worst than hers?

Last Monday, a certain Von Dy posted on Facebook photos of Aimy Junnel Tamayo inside the ICU. The parents are asking for financial assistance after she was diagnosed with dengue, despite that the fact she already received three shots of dengue vaccine Dengvaxia. Her third and last shot was given last August, or merely 3 months ago.

Last week, Dengvaxia manufacturer Sanofi Pasteur said that vaccination should not be recommended to children who have not previously infected by dengue virus, adding that more cases of severe disease could occur to them. In Aimy’s case, her mother said that she had received the vaccination, and that this was the first that her daughter had dengue.
