Watch: Trump’s Awkward Handshake With Duterte Featured on Simpson TV Show (Video)

Remember when US President Donald Trump made an awkward handshake with President Rodrigo Duterte during the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit held last November in the Philippines? Well, the photo made a cameo appearance in a recent episode of the famous animated comedy American TV show, “The Simpsons.” Watch the video below very closely.

Released last Thursday, December 14 via the official Facebook page of The Simpsons, the clip featured a fictional meeting between President Trump and special counsel Robert Mueller at the Trump hotel in Las Vegas. As the door opens, a photo on the wall can be seen, depicting the famous handshake between Truimp and Duterte, who can easily be recognized for his polo barong.

In that encounter, Trump attempts to bribe Mueller with $750 million in cash overflowing inside the room. “Huge bribe, there’s never been a bigger one, I do the best bribes, everyone says so.” Trump tells Mueller, adding that he is not going to fire him. In reality, Mueller is currently leading the investigation on President Trump’s alleged secret conspiracy with Russia to interfere in the 2016 presidential election.

However in the Simpson video, Mueller tries to read Trump his rights, but later left the room when President Trump insiste on bribing him. Shortly, a housekeeper entered the room and vacuums up the money. I was revealed that the housekeeper is Carmen Yulín Cruz, the incumbent mayor of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Apparently, the Simpson episode is advocating donors for the victims of Hurricane Maria last September.

Meanwhile, it can be recalled that last November 13, President Trump went awkward during the traditional joint handshake among world leaders during the last ASEAN Summit. In that choreographed photo op, Trump was supposed to shake hands with Duterte using his right hand. But instead, he used his both hands to shake hands with Vietnam's Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
