Watch: Undisciplined Filipinos at NAIA Do Not Follow Very Simple Rule (Video)

Many Filipinos today are longing for the change that President Rodrigo Duterte has promised. But no matter how hard he works, many Filipinos really lack discipline. A classic example is a simple rule at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). Unfortunately, the authorities who are assigned to implement it are not doing anything. Watch video below.

Last Monday, December 4, a netizen named Sandy Arellano posted a live video on Facebook, showing undisciplined Filipinos at NAIA. As you can see, there is a yellow line where people should not go beyond, but sad to say, not even one passenger is following. According to her, the sight was so frustrating considering that the rule is very simple.

“We came from Hong Kong, Macao. I just came from Korea. Every time we come on a trip, the Filipinos there follow the rules. And it really pisses me off that we’re here in the Philippines, and no one follows simple rules.” Arellano said on the video, adding that unlike in other countries, there is no personnel who monitors if the rule is being followed.

“Bakit sa ibang bansa, kaya nilang mag-follow? Dito, hindi nila kaya. Everybody is standing on the (yellow) line. I am not here to play politics. I’m here as a Filipino citizen because I want change. I seriously want change for this country.” The frustrated netizen added, showing Filipinos passengers who are stepping on the line. Others are even beyond.

Now, here’s the worst part. Arellano said she called the Hotline of the authorities at NAIA Terminal 3 about the situation. “Wala na po tayong magagawa, ma’m. Kasi alangan namang maglalagay kami ng tao sa bawa’t caro set. (There’s nothing we can do, ma’m. Because it would not be right if we assign a security for every caro set.)” An official told her.

But while a lot of netizens praised Arellano, she also had bashers. Some of them said the problem is only small, while some says that most of those who don’t follow the rules are Duterte supporters like her. With this, we at Philippine News Courier have only this to say, “Stop making silly excuses. If we really want change, we should start with ourselves.”
