A Pasay City councilor was shot outside the SM Southmall in Las Piñas, Saturday night, August 5. Hundreds of mall shoppers ran for their lives after hearing the gunshots. Photos and videos of the incident were posted on Twitter, as netizens warned the public not to go near the area. Shortly after, the SM Supermalls issued its official statement on the issue.

Apparently, many of its customers did not agree with her being a staunch supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte.
