Vice President Leni Robredo on Wednesday, August 2 said that there is a need for a thorough investigation into the recent raid in Ozamiz City, wherein Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sr., his wife Susan, and 14 others were killed. She also urged all narco-politicians in the country to surrender so that the same incident will not happen to them.

Rev. Msgr. Arnel Lagarejos, the Catholic priest who was arrested in Markina City last Friday night for allegedly trying to sexually abuse a 13-year old girl is now a free man. The suspect priest was released Tuesday afternoon, August 1 after he was allowed to post a P120,000-bail. Apparently, a retired judge was believed to have influenced the decision.

Former President Benigno 'Noynoy' Aquino III on Tuesday questioned the result of the police raid conducted at the compound of Ozamiz City Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sr. and his daughter, Ozamiz City Vice Mayor Nova Princess Parojinog-Echavez last Sunday. He suggested that more policemen should have been wounded during the exchange of gunshots.
